Local tip

What to know before you book.

Punta Cana airport (PUJ) is the only practical entry point. The drive from PUJ to Cap Cana is 15 minutes; to La Romana is 90 minutes. Stay in Cap Cana for the easiest logistics. The Dominican peso is local currency but US dollars are accepted everywhere at slightly worse rates than a no foreign transaction fee credit card.
