How Hilton's status match and challenge works

Hilton Honors will match most current equivalent hotel elite status to Gold for an initial 90-day period. Check current Choice terms, since promotional matches like this change frequently.

Marriott Bonvoy does not publish a formal status match or challenge program the way Hilton and Choice do. Members have reported success by enrolling in Bonvoy first, then calling Marriott's member service line with their account number ready and asking directly about a match or challenge, but outcomes aren't guaranteed and depend on the representative and any current unpublished promotions.
