Bilt transfer partners versus Chase, Amex, and Citi ecosystems
Updated
6 min readBilt's transfer partner list as of July 2026
Bilt Points transfer to 18 airline programs, all at 1:1, including United MileagePlus, Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Emirates Skywards, Southwest Rapid Rewards, and Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles.
On the hotel side Bilt has seven partners. Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt, and Wyndham Rewards all transfer at 1:1. ALL, Accor's program, transfers at 3:2 (750 Accor points per 1,000 Bilt points). Preferred Hotels & Resorts I Prefer, added in 2026, transfers at 1:2, meaning 1,000 Bilt points becomes 500 I Prefer points.
Most transfers require a 2,000 point minimum for Blue status members, dropping to 1,000 for Silver, Gold, or Platinum status, in increments of 1,000. Transfers post almost instantly except Southwest, which can take up to 72 hours.
How that compares to Chase, Amex, and Citi
Transfer partner counts and typical ratio, July 2026
| Program | Airline partners | Hotel partners | Typical ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bilt Rewards | 18 | 7 | 1:1 (Accor 3:2, Preferred 1:2) |
| Amex Membership Rewards | 16 | 3 | 1:1 |
| Chase Ultimate Rewards | 11 | 3 | 1:1 |
| Citi ThankYou Points | 15 | 5 | 1:1 |
The real difference is not the partner count
Amex, Chase, and Citi partner counts shift often as programs add or drop airlines, so treat any specific count as a snapshot. The more durable difference is how you earn the points in the first place. Amex, Chase, and Citi points come from spending on the card. Bilt points can come from paying rent or a mortgage with no card spending required beyond the housing payment itself.
Chase's smaller partner list leans toward higher-value partners like World of Hyatt and Air Canada Aeroplan, and Chase tends to run fewer but larger transfer bonuses. Amex has the deepest overall airline bench. Bilt's list is the newest and has grown quickly through 2026, adding Wyndham and Preferred Hotels as partners this year.
Common questions
Does Bilt have more transfer partners than Chase?expand_more
As of July 2026, yes on airlines (18 versus roughly 11) and on hotels (7 versus 3). Chase's list skews toward a few high-value partners rather than broad coverage.
What is the minimum Bilt points transfer?expand_more
2,000 points for Blue status members, or 1,000 points for Silver, Gold, or Platinum status, and transfers must be made in increments of 1,000.
Is a 1:2 transfer ratio, like Bilt to Preferred Hotels, a bad deal?expand_more
Not necessarily. A lower ratio can still be worthwhile if the destination program's points are worth more per point than Bilt points. Always compare the actual redemption value on both sides, not just the ratio.

What to compare beyond the points rate on a rent rewards card
Points per dollar is only one piece. Here is how to weigh fees, protections, redemption limits, and reliability before you pick a rent rewards card.
