What to know before you book.

St Lucia has two airports: UVF (Hewanorra) in the south is the international airport and SLU (George F.L. Charles) in the north handles regional flights. UVF is 90 minutes from the marquee Soufriere resorts on poor roads. Pay for the helicopter transfer ($150 each way per person) on arrival, or budget the drive time. Hurricane season runs June to November with peak risk September.
